καὶ γαμήσειν, ὡς ὁ Ζήνων φησὶν ἐν τῇ πολιτείᾳ, καὶ παιδοποιήσεσθαι (scil. τὸν σοφόν).
StoicOs Translation
And (the sage) will marry, as Zeno says in the Republic, and will beget children.
Context
Diogenes' catalogue of what the sage will do cites the Republic by name for marriage and children — directly alongside the maxim on public life (SVF I.271).

What the source actually tells us
Explicit book citation (“as Zeno says in the Republic”) in a sober doctrinal context, not the scandal-catalogue — a valuable counterweight to SVF I.269.
Philosophical meaning
The sage does not flee the household: marriage and children belong to his engagement with the community, like politics (SVF I.271). Read with I.269, the Republic evidently distinguished the ideal city of sages from the sage's duties in cities as they are — where he marries, begets and serves.
Scholarly uncertainty
A single compressed clause; how Zeno reconciled marriage here with the community of wives of I.269 — two levels of the ideal, or two contexts — is a modern reconstruction, not transmitted text.
