Stoic Training · Part 6
The Judgment of Others
You cannot please everyone. You don't need to.
Most anxiety about other people is anxiety about their opinions — one of the clearest examples of what the Stoics called “not up to us”. This training turns that insight into five daily habits.

The training
- Live by your own values. You know your principles. You know what is right. Live by them — not for approval.
- Others see through their own lens. They don't see your full story. They judge through their past, their pain, their limits. Their judgment is not your truth.
- Control what you can. Your actions. Your standards. Your mindset. Not their opinions. Focus inward. Ignore the noise.
- Approval is a trap. If you seek it, you lose power. Freedom begins when you stop needing it.
- Character over impression. Opinions fade. Who you are remains. Choose character. Let the rest go.
Mantra
You do not need an easier life. You need a stronger mind. Stay calm. Stay true to yourself. That is Stoic freedom.
